Rebekka Peter

I am an external Ph.D. candidate at SPARC in the field of computer-assisted ophthalmic surgery. I received my B.Eng. from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Mannheim in a medical engineering program in partnership with Siemens Healthineers in 2016. After graduating with a M.Sc. from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2019, I spent two years as a research assistant at KIT in the field of scene understanding for autonomous driving. Since 2021, I am a doctoral student at the Zeiss Innovation Hub @KIT, a research and innovation unit of Carl Zeiss AG in Karlsruhe.

My research interests include scene understanding and trajectory planning for intraoperative assistance functions.
