We have a new doctor! Paul Scheikl successfully defends his thesis.
On June 6th 2024, SPARC member Paul Maria Scheikl successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Learning Visuomotor Policies for Cooperative Robot-Assisted Surgery” with the overall grade “with distinction”.
The examination committee included Prof. Franziska Mathis-Ullrich (FAU), Prof. Axel Krieger (JHU), Prof. Anne Koelewijn (FAU), Prof. Jürgen Teich (FAU) and was chaired by Prof. Philipp Beckerle (FAU).
Paul will continue his academic journey with cooperation partners at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore as Postdoc.
